  • Density specifications are more easily obtained.
  • The impact compactor can compact lift thicknesses of up to 1 metre and more resulting in significantly less use of other construction equipment and operators.
  • The impact compactor can compact soil at a lower moisture content than vibratory rollers, reducing the amount of water needed.
  • In the above example it would require 6 vibratory rollers to match the work output of one impact compactor.
  • The use of impact compactors can therefore significantly reduce contract time.
